Store all solvents in a sealed container. Open containers give off fumes, odorless solvents my not have an odor but they can give off hazards fumes as well. Good ventilation is always recommended when working with solvents. If your work area has no windows use a fan to try and rotate fresh air in the room.
Powders should always be covered. Powdered pigments and clay can easily become air born with the smallest breeze. Even the smallest amounts of some materials can cause serious health problems after years of exposure.
Dust should not be allowed to accumulate. Damp mop or vacuum after dampening down. Vacuuming or using a broom on dry material can increase the amount of airborne dust, a damp mop is recommended.
